My idea

Since creating my ancilary task my idea has slightly changed and developed. I have the idea of using frame by frame animation to create my video. I will use small cardboard cut out versions of the band to perform in my video. This is because I have some difficulty relying on people to perform in my video and it is a very hard task to get everyone together at the same time. This way I can get it completed to my standards and I don't have to worry about the amount of footage because I can always shoot it again and there won't be any change to prevent good continuity.
My idea came from a variety of videos such as 'Animal' by Neon Trees and an animation piece called 'Her Morning Elegance'. From the Neon Trees video when the band are in their van there are lots of cuts, an although this isn't stop frame I still like the way the director has done this to show progression in time. They use short snipets of film, with the band in different positions to show the bands silliness and happiness which represents the song. This allows the audience to feel more at one with the band as they feel they are connected with them. Also I think this allows the band to feel more engsged in the ifro with the consistent timing and the relation between the music video and the beat and lyrics of the songs.
